Sydney Clair: A Girl 'n Grace in the 1960s by Pam Davis
Sydney Clair is a curios girl growing up in the 1960s. Sydney Clair and her friends are out to help raise money so Sydney Clair can get a dog. However, it seems like every way they turn a disaster is right around the corner. From Dog wash to Lemondade stand things go wrong at every turn. Will Sydney Clair ever make enough money for the dog she's been dreaming of? Being a dog owner is a great responsibility. There are also mishaps when you own a dog too.
Your daughters will love Sydney Clair and the lessons that they learn together are great. I love this series. There is also a look at history section at the end of the book. All kinds of goodies from the 60's. This is a really neat book for 6-10 year olds.
