Oh, I was so surprised to receive Janet Halfmann's newest book Star of the Sea to review. Surprised but excited to read it and I'm sure your youngster will be just as pleased with Star of the Sea as they read about a day in the life of a Starfish. They will learn things about a starfish that they make not know. A good summer read and learn book, then visit the sea and you are well informed. The back of the book has some amazing facts about starfish. There is a glossary of words as well as places to check out more information. Not only is the story fascinating the pictures are just as intriguing; colorful and eye catching. This book would be good for a child 3-6 years of age. Two thumbs up for me. Thanks Janet for letting me review this book.

"Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become." -C.S. Lewis
