Amish Friends Cookbook ~ Vol. 2 by Wanda E. Brunstretter
This nice cookbook not only has recipes but Wanda has sprinkled Amish history from across America all through the book. There are also scripture verses and snippets of food for the soul intermingled with the recipes. As well as Amish-living pictures and other bright photos. The recipes are simple and easy. Just the way I like it.
The Miscellaneous section of the cookbook has many home recipes for cleaning supplies, medicine, and home remedies. The Salad & sides section has homemade dressings and sauces recipes as well as yummy salad recipes. The snack section has homemade caramel corn recipe as well as fruit dip recipes plus other snacks. This is truly a wonderful book to add to a collection for easy fun recipes.
"Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become." -C.S. Lewis
