Teaser Tuesday ~ Life Choices & A Woman and Her Workplace

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, f hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along, so I thought I would play for un! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today I'm going to give you a bonus.  I have two different book teasers.  I have a giveaway going for both books.  So be sure to follow the link to enter the giveaways.

Teaser #1: taken from p. 130 of  Life Choices by Judi Moreo

I was in jail, wondering how I got there.  I went over and over the details in my mind.  ow did a good Christan woman, a wife and a mother of five beautiful children, end up in jail?

Teaser #2:  Taken from p. 13 of A Woman and Her Workplace by Rosemary Flaaten

The word "civil" refers to the citizens or individuals who belong to a society.  When two individuals are in a relationship working for the same company or department, they belong to the same "society."  Civil engineering is the discipline of designing, constructing, and maintaining both naturally and physically built environments, such as bridges.  Metaphorically, our mandate as civil engineers is to design, build, and maintain relational bridges with coworkers.

Here is my teaser from Expiation by Greg Messel (page 1):

My sudden and unexpected return to Seattle was about to trigger a chain of events which completely change my life. Three months from this date my career, my life in San Francisco with my daughter and everything I had known before would be radically altered.

Great teasers! Life Choice looks like a really interesting read. Thanks for sharing :}. Here is my teaser from the book, The Three Insights by Tim Pond, which I absolutely enjoyed. The author helps you find and your unique purpose, which is very inspiring. Enjoy!:

"People are also spiritual beings, even though they don’t know it. Deep inside, many are yearning for a more profound life."
