The Goodness of God by Randy Alcorn

This audio book is read by the author, Randy Alcorn, himself. The theme of this book is about evil and suffering in this world. The author uses much Biblical references to back up what he says. In this world of evil and suffering, the author tries to help the reader see God as a loving, holy, good, merciful, just, gracious and patient God. The author explains where evil and suffering originated. He examines the explinations of evil and suffering. Gives takes a look at world views and the problems with it as well as looks at a good Biblical World view, that is God centered. Through scripture the author shows what exactly is the role of evil and suffering in this world. Alcorn discusses why God allows evil and suffering. What we can do about it and what responses we should have and take. Though the author doesn't use my preferred Bible version, I would say he covers the subject quite well and would recommend this book to those that are searching for answers as to why a loving God allows evil and suffering in this world.
