I was able to review this adorable cookbook through NetGalley digital. It is adorable. As I was looking through the book there were some fish themed cupcakes, that was our Church camp theme this year so guess what we made for dessert one day? Yep, we made some gold fish cupcakes that where in the cookbook. I thought I'd post the pictures of our cupcakes in this review. This book is just awesome. I wish I had a hard copy of it. You'll find all kinds of easy to make cupcakes with simple ingredients. Kids and adults alike will go crazy over these cupcakes. You'll find a section with materials, tools and techniques. There are tips for filling the cupcakes, frosting them and more. The cookbook has filling and decorating techniques. There is even ideas on making cupcakes with cookie cutters. Each cupcake has detailed directions and pictures so you know exactly how to do it and what it should look like. You'll find ideas for April Fools day, birthdays, holidays. There are animal themed cupcakes, water, boy and girls. It is just one cool cookbook. And now for the cupcake pictures of what we made... By the way we made 72 of these little critters.
We wanted to display the fish inside the fish bowl, however, the bowl opening was too small. So we had to settle for on top of the bowl.
We also displayed some of the better ones on a layered cupcake display rack.
We had so much fun making these cupcakes. And everyone enjoyed eating them. They were gone in no time. It took us longer to make them than it took the campers to devour them.
Katie at Katie's Literature Lounge is having a giveaway for this cookbook. Check it out here.
